Exhibition time - opens tomorrow

Today, I’m hanging for a local exhibition of my work. First time in quite a while.

This time is in the library in Elgin where they have a lovely gallery space.

The painting below is called Opalessence, it’s one of 21 going into the exhibition.

Storm Front.

This was just amazing to watch.  The sky was blue, but the storm approached from the sea and we watched it grow and get closer.

Seascape with stones

Stones in the sea...  occasionally moved, sometimes broken, eroded over time, but essentially steadfast.

Seascape study 3

This is the third sea study, the focus of these has been movement, waves and the vastness and power of the water that surrounds us. I'm not yet clear where the next painting will go - though it will be very much about the sea...
